2026 “Zatto Exhibition in Kofu” | Explore Art While Walking Through the City
“Zatto Exhibition 2026 in Kofu” will be held in central Kofu for 10 days, from Saturday, October 17 to Monday, October 26, 2026.
Zatto Exhibition is an art event where visitors can explore galleries, shops, and other venues throughout Kofu while viewing works created by artists with disabilities from across Japan. Unlike a typical exhibition held at a single venue, the event is designed to be enjoyed while walking through the city and visiting multiple exhibition locations.
Following the 2024 and 2025 editions, this year marks the third time the event will be held. Ten artists based in Yamanashi Prefecture and other parts of Japan will participate. Admission is free.

Six Exhibition Venues in Central Kofu
The artworks will be displayed across six different venues in Kofu. As you make your way from the area around Kofu Station to the central shopping district, you can enjoy exploring the city while discovering art along the way.
Yamanashi Design Center
Located on the second floor of the Yamanashi Prefectural Disaster Prevention Building, the Yamanashi Design Center is a hub that promotes the region’s resources and attractions through design.

ART SPACE Yume
ART SPACE Yume is an art space located in central Kofu. Close to Maizuru-dori Street, it is an easy stop while exploring the city center.

Located near ART SPACE Yume, horn Gallery makes it easy to visit multiple exhibitions while strolling through the surrounding streets.

Ebisuyā
Ebisuyā is located along the route from Kofu Station toward the city center. Visitors can enjoy the artworks in a space that blends naturally into the surrounding streetscape.

Sawataya Main Store, 2F “espace Sakuramachi”
This exhibition space is located on the second floor of the main store of Sawataya, one of Yamanashi’s well-known confectionery shops. Along with viewing the artworks, visitors can also enjoy shopping and visiting cafés while exploring Kofu.

Last orders at the café are at 5:00 PM. On the final day, the venue closes at 4:30 PM. Closed on Tuesdays.
Yauch Hair Salon & General Store
Yauch is both a hair salon and a shop. Artworks are also displayed in the store windows, allowing visitors to enjoy the exhibition while walking through the city without having to enter the shop.

There is no dedicated parking available at the exhibition venues, so visitors arriving by car should use nearby paid parking lots. If you plan to visit several venues, getting around on foot or by public transportation is a convenient option.
